Ohio State's 2010 Football Schedule

After a thrilling 2009 season that saw the OSU Buckeyes win a thrilling Rose Bowl victory over the Oregon Ducks, OSU's football team takes back to the gridiron come fall with the goal of a National Championship.  Like always, the Ohio State Football schedule 2010 first game is against Ohio college opponent and the last game is against archrival Michigan.

By Steve Patterson

The season kicks off at home in Columbus, Ohio against Marshall of the Mid American Conference on September 2nd.  This will set the tone for OSU, as the first four games are played at home and three of the four will be against MAC opponents.  The second week, however, the Bucks host the juggernaut University of Miami Hurricanes in another highly anticipated rematch of the 2002 National Championship Game on the 11th of September.  In weeks three and four, the Bucks face the Ohio University Bobcats on the 18th of September and then close out the home stand playing the Eastern Michigan Eagles on September 25th.

The starting road game is also the preliminary Big Ten matchup, against Illinois University on October 2nd, returning home on the ninth to host the Indiana University Hoosiers.  On the sixteenth, the Buckeyes travel to Madison to duel with the Wisconsin Badgers.  The October 23rd matchup against the Purdue University Boilermakers is the first (and currently only) afternoon game, with kickoff at noon.  On the 30th, the Buckeyes travel to Minneapolis to play the University of Minnesota, then have an off week.  On November 13th, Ohio State hosts Penn State.  On the 20th, the last road game of the year is at Iowa, and the season concludes (barring a BCS berth) on the 27th, at home against the Michigan Wolverines.
