Chris Barnett Waiting For An Official Visit

Chris Barnett is a highly coveted tight-end prospect for the 2011 class from Hurst Texas. With over 22 offers, the 6’6” 245 lbs receiver with 4.52 speed has the option of taking all five visits to some of the best schools in the country before making a college decision. He currently favors Arkansas and Oklahoma but has six schools in mind for official visits. One of those official visits could spawn a commitment according to Barnett.

2011 Tight End Chris Barnett Highlights

By Steve Patterson

We recently contacted Chris Barnett about his current high school experience and the recruiting process. He told us about playing with a set of common goals at LD Bell High School. “The highlight of my career is every game, just being able to chase a common goal with my teammates on the field.” he explained.

He likes his favorite college programs because of the way they use the tight end. “I like the style of play the most and the way they get after their opponent. And the way they use their Tight-end.” he told us.

He has finalized his visits as he has six schools in mind at this time. “I'll probably take officials to Arkansas, Oregon, Miami, USC, UCLA, Colorado, and maybe some other schools.” But he realizes that he needs to narrow down his list. “I’m kind of waiting because I only get 5.”

What will make one school stand-out? “I'll probably make a decision on one of my officials if I get all the right feelings and I get an answer from the Lord.” he said.
