Avon Ohio prospect Ross Douglas continues to impress at camp along with a number of quality of cornerbacks which is great for Ohio State which has traditionally liked to bring in a good number of cornerbacks and wide receivers looking for the elite ones during practice. Douglas is one of the fastest on campus this week with a 4o time of 4.43. He earned a Minnesota offer today to go with the Tennessee offer he received last week. Another defensive back with speed from the state of Ohio is Toledo Central Jayme Thompson who ran a 4.53 40 at camp. He is working mostly at safety at this time and has an early offer from Bowling Green.
A 2013 recruit, Taco Charlton from Pickerington Central showed up looking great in drills at Ohio State’s camp and only needs to show similar skill in play this coming fall. He has great size for a defensive end at 6’6” 240 lbs. and has a number of great schools recruiting him including Cincinnati, Purdue, and Syracuse. Big Ten schools could easily offer when they begin to focus more on their 2013 classes.
Two more prospects from 2013 include offensive tackle Steve Mathie from Canton Glen Oak and Xzavier McAllister from Canton McKinley. Mathie is more ready for college at this time with great feat to go along with strength and athleticism. He already has an offer from UCLA. McAllister continues to improve his physical condition, including losing 25 lbs. over the past year. Both could be highly recruited in the next round of classes that colleges recruit.
