Ohio State Football Buckeyes Offer Kyle Allen

The website 247Sports.com reported that, on the 1st of May 2013, Kyle Allen announced via Twitter that he had received an offer for a scholarship from the Ohio State Football Buckeyes. Allen is a four star, pro style quarterback from Scottsdale AZ, with exceptional passing skills. His accuracy is outstanding, and he sets the standard when it comes to throwing into tight windows and guiding his teammates on deep routes.

In 2012, this senior to be threw for 3200 yards and thirty-six touchdowns against only seven interceptions. This has enabled Allen to earn sixteen scholarship offers, most significantly from schools such as UCLA, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin and Boise State. Allen possesses good mobility and avoids pocket pressure extremely well, however running plays such as the zone read are not among his greatest strengths. He is capable, but does not have the dual threat play making ability of someone like Braxton Miller.

However, this did not stop the Ohio State Buckeyes from offering. Recently, Ohio State has widened its' search for quarterbacks, as its' initial two targets, Watson and Heard, appear to have made commitments to Clemson and Texas. Observing Ohio State carry out its' search for quarterbacks will be among the most fascinating story lines of the off season. With Watson and Heard now out of the equation, the Buckeyes are happy to resume their search with Allen featuring at the forefront.
