The Ohio State Buckeyes got the victory Monday night despite trailing the Michigan Wolverines by as much as 20 points in the first half. The brutal first half included seven turn overs by the Buckeyes. They would end the first half with a 13 point deficit against the Wolverines.

The second half started with the Buckeyes on fire sinking 10 of 13 first shots.  The Wolverines, who started the first half sinking 60 percent of their shots, cooled in the beginning of the second half missing the first four shots of the half. Ohio State would see their first time in the lead with a little over 12 minutes left in the game. C.J. Jackson and Keita Bates-Diop sank the free throws that would put the Buckeyes in the lead.

The Wolverines would not go quietly as they regained the lead with a nine point run with 4:54 minutes left on the clock. It would be the last time the Wolverines would see the lead as Jae'Sean Tate landed a hook followed by Kam Williams jumper, tying the game at 60 points. Williams started the game in lieu of C.J. Jackson. Tate, starting as point guard, tallied up an impressive 14 points in the game, surpassing the record set by John Havlicek for all-time scoring.

Ohio State is slated to play against William and Mary Saturday at the Value City Arena with a noon tip-off. Micah Potter, who has already missed three games, is out with an ankle injury, for an indefinite amount of time.
