Ex-Buckeye Kellogg to replace Billy Packer on the NCAA Finals

CBS has named Clark Kellogg to replace Billy Packer as color commentator for it’s coverage of the NCAA Basketball Tournament including the Finals.

By Bill Smith

Clark Kellogg has been a studio analyst for CBS college basketball coverage for several years.  Packer had covered the NCAA finals for the last 27 years.  He had worked for NBC in a similar post before joining CBS.  Packer said he is involved in a college basketball related project that he will detail for the public soon.

"With his unquestioned popularity and performance over the years, Clark Kellogg earned all rights to this top spot," Sean McManus, president of CBS News and Sports, said in a statement on the CBS Sports website. "Like Billy Packer, Al McGuire or any of the most highly regarded broadcasters, Clark is an original voice with his own style and perspective.”
