OSU at Wisconsin
October 4
Overview:
If Jim Tressel has an Achilles heal you would have to say
it’s a toss up between the SEC and Wisconsin. The Badgers have won 2 of the last 3 meetings
against the Buckeyes and is the only Big Ten school that Jim Tressel doesn’t
have a winning record against (3-3).
Wisconsin
has been picked as the Big Ten runner up to the Bucks in the conference
preseason and should be a top 15 team coming into the game.

Preview:
Wisconsin
will roll out a new quarterback this season but the Badgers return a very deep
and talented corps of running backs and wide receivers. The Badgers also sport a mammoth defensive
line and will not be intimidated by the Buckeye offensive line. The guys in the trenches will have to play
one of their best games if they want to keep Todd Boeckman in an upright
position. Physical edge goes to the
Bucks as Wisconsin
will be coming off a game with the Wolverines the week before.
Outcome:
The formula is simple; pressure the young quarterback and
stop the run (easy for ME to say). That
should spell out a victory but the game is a night game in Camp Randall. Not only are these some of the most vicious
fans in the Big Ten but the long wait will give them plenty of time to get good
and sauced up before kickoff. The
Buckeyes have a more complete team that’s full of future NFL players but this
will likely be the most physical game that OSU will play to date.
