Former Alabama Center, Chad Lindsay, to Visit Ohio State, California

While the spring game did not land commitments over the past weekend, Urban Meyer is continuing to hunt for a new type of player.

From Jeremy Fowler of CBS:

The former center for Alabama, who one year ago started four games, shared through text during this week he will be visiting Cal and Ohio State. He visited quite a number of places including Oklahoma, Louisville and Michigan over the past two weeks.

Lindsay can start playing immediately because he has already graduated. When he left Alabama prior to the spring ball, people thought it to be a slight surprise. This season, Lindsay was a choice for starting at center once the Tide shifted Ryan Kelly to left tackle.

Ohio State may end up looking for help for its offensive line because several starters left a year ago.
When Sonny Dykes took over, the offensive line at Cal was depleted.

Taylor Decker and Pat Elflein are the two offensive linemen to secure starting jobs this spring. However, none of them will be playing at center. Lindsay would be able to add some additional power to this offensive line which is in need of rebuilding.
