The final preparations for the opener game on Saturday between the Buckeyes and Navy come one week after coach Urban Meyer of Ohio State lost Braxton Miller, a three-year starting quarterback. The coach assured that his team is ready because he believes he is coaching a good team. Meyer said that Miller did undergo surgery on Tuesday to treat a torn labrum in the right shoulder that he (Miller) uses for throwing. Dr. James Andrews, the famous doctor who treats athletes for the school did the operation. Under normal circumstances, Miller would celebrate his win as an elected team captain together with four other players.

Other players elected as captain include Jeff Heuerman; a tight end, Doran Grant; a defensive back, Curtis Grant; a linebacker, and Michael Bennett; a defensive lineman. Due to the injury that occurred last week during practice, Miller remains on the sideline until the coming August of 2015. J.T Barret, a redshirt freshman, now takes the place of Miller despite the fact that he never took a collegiate snap before. Cardale Jones, a redshirt sophomore will back J.T Barret and Meyer admitted he did not foresee such developments happening when Fall camp began.

The starting cornerback spot seems to have gone to Gareon Conley or alternatively, Eli Apple as Jacoby Boren and Chad Lindsay, a transfer from Alabama fight for the beginning center spot.

Conclusion

Evan Spencer, the wide receiver, does not believe that people will note a big difference on Saturday. Since Ohio State began its 125th season of the program; it has played Navy and won four meetings. Actually, in the recent 2009 season, Ohio State achieved victory with a 31-27 win. The Buckeyes are heavily favored again to win.
