Ohio State to Comment on Tattoo for Autograph Rumors

Ohio State is currently investigating whether some unnamed players traded autographed memorabilia for tattoos at a local Columbus tattoo parlor. The rumor started circulating shortly after the Buckeyes finished their final practice on campus before the Christmas break Tuesday. No one missed the practice according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Starting quarterback Terrelle Pryor sent out a tweet about the situation stating that he has paid for all of his tattoos. Receiving tattoos in exchange for autographs would be a violation of NCAA rules and could lead to some players being suspended for the upcoming Sugar Bowl against Arkansas. While some believe the investigation could take longer and therefore be penalized early next season instead.

The memorabilia was found when police raided a the local tattoo parlor and found signed items from past and current Ohio State players. Ohio State AD Gene Smith will meet with the media at noon to discuss the investigation.
