Bradley McDougald,
Camping this Weekend
Dublin Ohio Safety Prospect Bradley McDougald was in Columbus today for Ohio State’s
Senior advanced camp and came away impressed with coaches Paul Haynes and Taver
Johnson.
Junior Year
Bradley McDougald is rated in the
Top 250 prospects nationally and in the Top 10 at his position by some of the
major ranking groups. As a junior he excelled for the Scioto Fighting Irish. “I'd
probably say my strong suites were my agility and my vision as a runner and my
toughness on defense.” He told us about the 2007 season.
McDougald enjoys the offensive side
of the ball as he ran for a good number of yards against some of the toughest
teams in the State of Ohio.
“The highlight of last season was rushing a 1000yards and stepping up from last
year. My stats for the season were 1045 rushing, 1650 all purpose yards, 12
touchdowns and 1 pick-off.” He said.
Visits
Last week McDougald was all set of
traveling across town for Ohio
State’s Senior Advanced
Camp. “I am going to go to OSU's camp on the 20th of June.” He reported.
In addition to several visits to Ohio State,
He has visited three other programs in the area. “I have been to Michigan State,
Cincinnati and
OSU. And I went to Michigan's
camp and had a nice time there.” The Wolverines have yet to offer but he is
taking his time to evaluate all the colleges that are offering a scholarship.
Offers and Favorites
McDougald is looking for academics
and a family atmosphere in addition to a winning tradition. “Obliviously I want
to go to a good football school but also want the school to have a solid
academic program and really care for their players.” The schools that has
offered so far, “Illinois, Wisconsin,
OSU, Michigan State
and Boston College have offered.” He explained to
us.
At this
time he is even on all the programs and will continue to evaluate. “Of my
favorites, all the schools have good football programs and no choice is a bad
one. But they also have good academic and athletic programs.”
