DeaySean Rippy is one of the best linebacker prospects for the 2012 college recruiting class. With offers from Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, Pittsburg, and Syracuse he has his choice of schools early in the recruiting process. We asked him about his high school career, his recruitment so far, and what he is looking for in a college and a college football program.

What are your best attributes as a football player?
”My best attribute is just being able to play the game of football."if it was easy everyone would do it".”

What has been the highlight of your high school career?
”Having 7sacks in 1 game and also from this year being named 1st team all conference WR 1st team all conference LB and defensive player of the year.”

Do you know your statistics for last year?
”77 tackles 61solo 16 asst. 3interceptions. 2 forced fumbles, 20 receptions 596 yards 7touchdowns.”

Are there college visits you have made and what did you think of those visits?
”Ohio State= loved it. Penn State=ok. Florida was great. Syracuse Maryland all great.”

What are you looking for in a college and a football program?
”Very good education 1st and also a good environment. Plus a good football team where I can help by starting my freshmen year.”

What schools have shown interest to this point?
”A lot. Pitt, Ohio State, Florida, Maryland, Syracuse, Nebraska, Alabama, USC, UCLA, Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Arkansas, Cal, Rutgers, Notre Dame, Colorado, Stanford, Auburn, Crimson, Florida State, Miami (the U), North Carolina, etc. So everyone you can say.”

What do you like the most about your favorite schools?
“They are all good programs they all have talent from everywhere. So I mean it would be cool if you can play for all but I will have to find the best the fit for me.”
