Safety Demetrious Cox on What He Is Looking For

We had an opportunity to contact Demetrious Cox from Jeannette Pennsylvania recently. He told us about his best attributes on the field, the highlight of his high school career so far, the college visits he has taken, what he likes about his top 10 schools, and what will set his college choice apart from the others.

We started by asking Demetrious Cox what sets him apart and has made him one of the top Safety prospects in the country for 2012. “My physicality, awareness and work ethic.” are the attributes on the field that he reported to us.

The highlight of his football career to date was a visit to Oregon this season. “Going to the opening in Oregon with all of the NFL stars.” he explained to us.

The visits he has made include “Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan St., Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Wisconsin. They all went really well some have things that stand out more than others.” he told us. “But all are great universities.”

What he is looking for includes “Academics, a good depth chart opportunity, and a family feel.” He recently reduced his list down to 10 schools including Arizona State, Kansas, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Wisconsin.

What he likes about his favorites includes “They’re winners, they produce great players and they have great people that care.”
