Ohio State senior quarterback Braxton Miller has just been added to the watch list for the Davey O'Brien Award for the upcoming NCAA season.

Miller,a Buckeye senior was among the thirty nine QBs named to the list just late this week. That’s a lot of quarterbacks. Miller was a noted finalist two years ago for the award, along with Collin Klein of Kansas State and Johnny Manziel, the Heisman Trophy winner hailing from Texas A&M. He could be a front runner again if OSU has a great season.

Miller has already achieved nine records at Ohio State. Last year he threw for 2,094 yards, had 24 touchdowns and ran for 1,068 yards. He finished the year with twelve scores despite a knee injury that caused him to miss three games. He could improve his passing, especially late in the season when he tended to run more often that earlier.

Braxton Miller also injured his shoulder during Ohio's loss to Clemson, at the Orange Bowl. As a result of the injury, Miller under went surgery on the shoulder and was recuperating, causing him to miss spring practice. He is going to ready to go when fall camp starts.

Miller has also held the league Silver Trophy award for the past two seasons. This award is given to the Big Ten's most valuable player. Miller is currently one of the leading contenders for the 2014 Heisman Trophy.
