Defensive Back Carlton Davis Switching to Auburn

Ohio State lost a recruit last night as Auburn coaches, Malzahn, Muschamp and Robinson visited Carlton Davis in his home following an official visit to their campus. The defensive back from Miami Florida Norland had committed to the Buckeyes but cancelled an in-home visit with Urban Meyer that was scheduled for tonight. He is now considered leaning towards an Auburn commitment.

Official signing day is next Wednesday across the country for 2015 recruits.

The four-star recruit visited Ohio State on November 29th and was being recruited by OSU coaches Zach Smith and Chris Ash. He also visited Miami of Florida back in December. Ohio State will look to sign an additional corner back now that Davis has changed his plans. Damon Arnette from Fort Lauderdale St Thomas Aquinas is most likely the one Meyer will pursue.

Ohio State already has Jamel Dean on campus for 2015 at the corner back position in addition to incoming backs Eric Glover-Williams and Denzel Ward.
