All ten players end up in places where they can make immediate impacts and getting some playing time. Joey Bosa was picked up by San Diego (Pick 3), first of the Buckeyes in the draft. He doesn’t necessarily fit the scheme the Charges play on defensive but was the best player on the board and is very versatile, can play at every position across the line. The highest drafted player out of OSU since Orlando Pace as the first pick.

Ezekiel Elliot (Pick 4) was selected by Dallas in the first round. A good pick for the Cowboys. He is already considered the top fantasy player coming out of the draft as Dallas has a great offensive line and some good receivers to take pressure off the running back. Could go for 1000 yards his rookie year.

Eli Apple went a little higher than expected, tenth overall to the Giants. Corners are a big thing for teams to pick early in the draft. In a couple of years he could very easily be the teams top defensive back. Apple’s mom quickly took to Twitter to tell all the young ladies to stop throwing themselves at her son. Good stuff.

Taylor Decker gets drafted by the Lions in a rebuilding year. A significant piece of their new offensive line. He was selected the 16th overall, that’s 4 Buckeyes already and the draft is just getting warmed up.

The Jets took Darren Lee at Linebacker to round out the first round at five Ohio State players. The team liked his youth, ability and character.

The New Orleans Saints have two Buckeye picks in the second round, Michael Thomas and Von Bell. Not surprising as these guys are both great players that could have been picked up earlier than they were. The Saints made a trade to move up a few spots to secure Bell before the round ends.

Adolphus Washington gets drafted in the third round by Buffalo. Some off the field issues caused him to dropped from the 2nd to the 3rd round.

The Texans pick Braxton Miller.

Nick Vannett goes to Seattle even though they have Jimmy Graham to make it 10 Buckeyes in the first three rounds. Everything thinks that Urban Meyer should have an easy time recruiting kids now that his team has put this large hull into the professional leagues.
