Ohio States 2019 Early Signing Period 2019 Recruiting Class

A couple afternoon signings pushed the 2019 Ohio State recruiting class from 13 members to 15 and allowed the team to finish in the top 12 classes nationally. The big get of the afternoon was Zach Harrison, a defensive end from Lewis Center Ohio. He is considered the countries top strong side DE. Later at 4pm Ohio State landed defensive tackle Jaden McKenzie from Wake Forest North Carolina. He is considered the 58th best DT in the country.

Here are the commits from the Early Signing Period 2019:

Zach Harrison, DE Lewis Center Olentangy

Will play in the All-American Bowl. Number four overall recruit in the country. Had offers from Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan. Has the potential to be a first round NFL pick in three years.

Garrett Wilson, WR Austin Lake Travis

All-American Bowl selection. Had over 1000 yards and 18 touchdowns in high school. Plans to enroll early. Had offers from Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Notre Dame and others. Considered the 2nd best receiver nationally.

Harry Miller OC Buford Georgia

Another All-American Bowl player. The 2nd best center in the class nationally. Had offers from Clemson and Georgia among others. Led his team to a 10-3 season averaging 42+ points a game.

Cade Stover LB Lexington Ohio

Ohio’s Mr. Football 2018. Great at linebacker and running back in high school. 592 total tackles in career. The 5th best outside linebacker in the country. Also considered Oklahoma.

Ronnie Hickman DB Wayne DePaul Catholic

Suffered a torn-ACL during the season but was selected for the All-American Bowl non-the-less. Wants to enroll early at Ohio State. Considered a top 10 safety prospect nationally. Had offers from Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, and others.

Jameson Williams WR St Louis Cardinal Ritter

Will play in the Under Armour All-American Game. Caught 68 passes for 24 touchdowns and over 1600 yards as a senior. The 24th best wide receiver in the country. Also had Alabama, Michigan, and Iowa offers.

Steele Chambers RB Roswell Blessed Trinity

Selected for the All-American Bowl, had over 1600 yards rushing and 25 touchdowns for the state champion program. A top 10 athlete country-wide. Also was pursued by Clemson, Georgia, LSU and Notre Dame.

Ryan Jacoby OT Mentor

Looking to enroll early in January. The 26th best offensive tackle in the country. Other schools that offered were Michigan, Kentucky and Indiana.

Tommy Eichenberg LB Cleveland St Ignatius

Had 126 tackles as a senior with 8 sacks and 23 tackles for loss. The countries 20th best outside linebacker. He flipped from Boston College to Ohio State. Also had offers from Michigan, MSU, and Kentucky.

Noah Potter DE Mentor Ohio

The brother of Micah Potter who played center for the Basketball team until earlier this year. The 24th best strong-side DE in the country. Will enroll early. Had offers from Michigan, Georgia, Florida, and Wisconsin.

Marcus Crowley RB Jacksonville Trinity Christian Academy

State Player of the Year in Florida. He rushed for over 2300 yards with 31 touchdowns. Two players from the school are at Ohio State now, Shaun Wade and Tyreke Johnson. The countries 26th best running back. He switch from Miami of Florida to Ohio State. Also had Florida and Georgia offers.

Bryson Shaw DB Potomac The Bullis School

Same school as Dwayne Haskins. The 47th best safety prospect in the country. Was committed to Wisconsin for football and Maryland for lacrosse until committing to Ohio State. Also had offers from Duke, Penn State, and West Virginia.

Craig Young WR Fort Wayne

Survived three gun shot wounds as a sophomore. Last year had 700 yards and 12 touchdowns receiving. The 35th best athlete in the country. Had a lot of Big Ten offers including Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State and Purdue.

Jaden McKenzie DT Wake Forest

Will play in the Carolinas Shrine Bowl. Had 71 tackles last season for the state champs. The 58th best DT in the country. He was also considering Clemson, Boston College, Wake Forest, and North Carolina.

Cormontae Hamilton TE Memphis Whitehaven

A great blocker with a 28” vertical. The 29th best TE in the country. He was also looking at Alabama, Memphis, and Tennessee.
