New OSU Alumni Ticket System makes Sense
Those of us that have graduated from OSU have a better
chance at tickets to football games this season thanks to a change in ticket
policy. Members of the OSU Alumni
Association got a letter recently that explained the new policy.

In short,
the legacy system that gave priority to those that have bought tickets for
years has been scrapped for a more democratic system of an annual lottery. Every paid member that applies for
participation for the lottery will have an equal chance.
According
to Alumni association spokesman Jay Hansen, more than a thousand messages
complaining about the legacy system were received. In part, those messages were responsible for
the change.
This change
is a good thing. It will give more of
the OSU faithful a chance to see games; the more the better.
