Ohio State Football Boilermakers Match Preview
On Saturday, the Purdue Boilermakers are going to have their work cut out, when they play host to Ohio State football. This season, the Boilermakers have a 1/6 record, and they are at the foot of the Big Ten. For scoring offense, the team has a 122 ranking nationwide, averaging only 13.1 points per match. They allow 34.4 points per match too, which gives them a nationwide ranking of 106 in this regard. Throughout the season, the Boilermakers have had a high turnover of quarterbacks. Last weekend, they put Etling under center versus the Spartans, but the freshman failed to shine against MSU, achieving just 14-25 for a pick and 160 yards.
Under Urban Meyer, Ohio State are on a roll and have yet to be beaten on his watch. Over the past seven days though, the team has received some criticism about its' play. While they keep winning, they are still regularly overlooked in the discussions and polls as genuine National Title contenders. Nonetheless, last Saturday, the team did attract some attention by comprehensively defeating the Nittany Lions 63/14.
There are still a few unanswered questions, but if Ohio State keep outclassing teams and turning in performances like this, they have to be in the mix by the close of season. If they were fully motivated, the Buckeyes could win this match at a canter. However, don't be too surprised if, following their huge recent win, they get complacent and allow the one win Boilermaker side to steal the points.
