Ohio State Jon Diebler Shoots Out the Nittany Lions
The No 1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes went to University Park last night to complete their 2011 road season and got a big lift from a different player, similar to recent games. This time it wasn’t David Lighty, Jared Sullinger or DeShaun Thomas. Jon Diebler made 10 3-point shots during the course of the game (82-61 Ohio State) placing the 15-13 Penn State team one more step away from a post-season opportunity.

The Lions came out of the half-time break and made 11 out of 14 shots but still fell behind the red-hot Buckeyes (28-2) by 25 points. Diebler tied a Big Ten record making 10 3-point shots during the game while only missing one. William Bufford was solid once again adding 21 points. Sullinger and fellow freshman Aaron Craft were quiet on the night but all the Ohio State players crashed the boards getting a rebound advantage that was impossible to overcome.
A large crowd had filled the Bryce Jordan Center hoping to storm the floor when the unranked Nittany Lions handed Ohio State a defeat. It was Senior Day and the fans were all wearing white. There was a pre-game ceremony for the Seniors and the crowd was boisterous. But they never came near their wish of upsetting Ohio State and getting onto the floor after the game was pointless.
