Is Ohio State Basketball Good Enough To Win It All?
Ohio State and Kansas are ready to do battle in the final four. The state of Kentucky is very excited about the meeting between Kentucky and Louisville in the Final Four in New Orleans. There is quite a bit of interest in this all Kentucky matchup, because these are 2 of the main basketball powers in the nation.
However, the top game could be Kansas and Ohio State. This game has a couple interesting matchups, most notably down low. Here Thomas Robinson and Jared Sullinger will do battle.
Robinson relies more on raw athletic talent than a polished post game. However, he is still someone to content with. Sullinger does not have a ton of athleticism, but instead makes up for it by banging people inside with physical play. He is 6’9 and 265 pounds, and is a load down low. He is also able to make jump shots from outside. He is only a sophomore, but is already being compared with Kevin Love.
While Robinson and Sullinger will be doing battle, Tyshawn Taylor and Aaron Craft will be a fun backcourt matchup to watch. Taylor has not been as consistent during his 4 years at Lawrence as people would like. However, he always hustles and gives 100%. He will meet his match in Craft, however. Aaron Craft is one of the top perimeter defenders in the nation, and could give him problems.
The main thing that could decide the outcome is what the rest of the team brings for Kansas. The Jawhawks Kansas do not have a lot of good players besides Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor, after all. It will be interesting to see if the rest of the team can step up. The Ohio State basketball team is deeper, and their depth could be a deciding factor.
