Urban Meyer Takes Dontre Wilson from Oregon After Chip Kelley Departure

The Ohio State Buckeyes have another wide receiver for their 2013 class and Desota Texas prospect Dontre Wilson is one of the best in the country. After Chip Kelley left for the NFL, a number of incoming Oregon recruits began to look around including Wilson who had considered Ohio State and Texas prior to his Duck commitment. A Rivals.com 100 member, he is the 6th best all-purpose running back for 2013 but will probably play slot receiver or kick returner as a freshman at Ohio State.

Wilson took a visit to Ohio State two weeks ago and liked the program and the school very much. After a great senior year, Urban Meyer continued to pursue Wilson in hopes of getting a versatile play maker that can help the Buckeyes in the open field. And tonight he got Wilson with the assistance of Offensive Coordinator Tom Herman. Wilson kept his decision close to the vest while visiting Texas recently. But tonight on the local news in Dallas, Wilson told the world of his switch from Oregon to Ohio State.
