After thinking about the move for a month, when he visited today, Jones said he knew the move would end his recruitment. Another contributing factor to his commitment includes the fact that the school and the facilities charmed him and made him feel more comfortable.

Dre'Monte Jones conferred that he and the coach connect strongly and they talk more about their personal lives such as football, education, and the life of high school, adding that he feels at ease talking to the coach.

Committing to Ohio a Lifetime Dream for Jones

Jones admitted he loves the school and he aspired of joining Ohio State since childhood and donning the uniform and playing really means a lot to him. Liam Eichenberg, an offensive lineman star from the class of 2016, comes from Cleveland Ignatius and Jones plans to bring him to Ohio State alongside Kyle Berger of Ignatius Grad.

Jones said that since he talks frequently with Liam, he wants him to join Ohio State like Kyle. However, Jones said he intends to make an improvement during the off-season by practicing the use of opposite hands in order to achieve a stronger stance in the left hand and better his playing skills. Finally, the current situation can only allow Dre'Mont Jones to take one official trip to Columbus later this fall.
