OSU Looking To Have Dontre Wilson For The Sugar Bowl

OSU and Urban Meyer expect sophomore Dontre Wilson (sophomore) to be ready to play in the team’s Sugar Bowl game against Alabama, 11 Warriors reported Sunday evening. Wilson has played the popular H Back position in addition to punt and kick returns. He has 100 yards rushing on the season and 300 yards receiving at this point.

Wilson, cracked a bone in his foot during the Michigan State game and needed surgery the following Sunday, he has spent the month with a walking boot missing the Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin games. He surprisingly completed the MSU game with the injury having 23 yards in receiving and a touchdown.

Buckeye Head Coach Urban Meyer never gave a time for Wilson's returning, but has said the speedster would likely be out till the bowl season. Prior to his injury, Wilson had 136 punt return yards and 528 kick return yards, along with 3 receiving touchdowns. Freshman Jalin Marshall filled in well while Wilson recovered, have 100 yard games against Minnesota and Indiana while scoring three times.

After thoroughly beating Wisconsin, 59-0, in the Big Ten Tournament Game Saturday evening, the OSU Buckeyes gained the fourth/final position in the first ever College Football Playoff. Ohio State (12-1, 8-0) will engage the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide New Years Day in New Orleans.
