Earlier in the week, a rumor began on Scout.com about Offensive Line Marcelys Jones would not be in the program at Ohio State any longer and today that was confirmed by a spokesman.

At 315 pounds and 6'4", Jones is exploring additional options so that he may continue his college football career. According to the spokesman, the departure was "mutual."

After failing to show up for summer workouts both Monday and Tuesday without informing the coaches, his leaving seemed likely. Close sources say that decision, however, wasn't finalized until today.

According to 247Sports, Marcelys Jones signed on with the Buckeyes as a 4-star prospect and Army All-American out of Cleveland Glenville - Class of '14. Even though there was some drama and thoughts that he could sign up at Kentucky instead of Ohio State, he was still the first in committing in the class.

247Sports has been notified that the Arizona Wildcats are leading the pack for landing Jones. He's reportedly said that he is able to see the field faster. Neither Jones and his camp nor Ohio State has made any additional comments.

The leaving of Jones leaves Ohio State with just 84 men on their roster, which is just below the 85 limit they were required to have before the beginning of the season.
