Tyjon Lindsey and Trevon Grimes are two wide receivers who have recently signed on with the Ohio State Buckeyes. These are two of 18 new commitments to the recruiting class of 2017. These two blue chip players are two new promising additions. They were signed to the OSU team after they sent in a video of them playing dodge ball, knocking out other players who were wearing T-shirts from other schools. After Lindsey and Grimes knocked out each of the other players, they put on hats from OSU, showing the choice of school they'd made.
Lindsey is from Las Vegas, and he is scheduled to announce his plans to play for Ohio State on Monday. Grimes is from Fort Lauderdale, and was scheduled announce his decision on Wednesday. Right before his video announcement, he said on Twitter that his previous plans had changed.
Each of these football players is classified as a five-star prospect for the team, according to different recruiting services. They're considered potential big improvements for the class of 2017. Lindsey is 165 pounds at 5'9", and he's known for his speed during offensive plays. He chose Ohio State over Alabama, Nebraska, and several other schools. Grimes is 205 pounds at 6'4", and he picked the OSU Buckeyes instead of Florida. He was reportedly considering Ohio State seriously for a while.
According to analyst Jeremy Birmingham, Ohio State is having an excellent recruiting season. He cited the other promising recruits of Binjimen Victor, Dwayne Haskins, and Keandre Jones for the upcoming school year.
