Michael Drennen is contemplating his options while many still feel he is headed to Ohio State. Kentucky is also a favorite. He is considered the 5th best all-purpose running back for 2020. Ohio State currently has one 2020 commit for the backfield. Last season for Dublin Coffman he got 927 all purpose yards with 14 touchdowns.
FSU Visit
The 5'11" 195 lbs. running back from Dublin Ohio visited Florida State last week in a little bit of a surprise. After the visit to Florida State, Drennen reported that he would be returning for an official visit.
Florida State offered him a scholarship in January. He really enjoyed the people at FSU this past weekend. His father and uncle were with him on the visit, with his father being responsible for setting up the event. He did not get a chance to meet the head coach, Willie Taggart, while in Tallahassee.
Friday Night Lights in Gainesville
Drennen also visited the University of Florida while in Florida last weekend. He got an offer in the spring on a similar visit. He met with four members of the staff who like his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and make moves in the open field.
Official Visits
He recently gave a list of official visits that included Florida, LSU, Arizona State, Kentucky and Tennessee. As recently as June 22nd he had a list of ten schools which also included Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Stanford.
He cousin is freshman Ohio State running back Jaelen Gill out of Westerville South.
