Current
Ohio State
commit Reid Fragel will be catching stretch passes down the middle for Ohio State
in another year and feels that his toughness and finishing ability has led to
his great production in high school. “My best attributes are my determination
and toughness to stay strong and finish every play as hard as the last.” He
explained to us recently.
His
favorite memories of high school include the rivalry games his team has played.
“The highlight of my high school career has been playing against our rival
Grosse Pointe North in front of 7,000+ fans every year.” Could this quite
possibly be a precursor to his love for Michigan/Ohio State games in the Shoe?
His
production on the field led to a decent number of offensive plays and some very
good defensive end statistics. “My stats from last year are 24 catches for 330
yards with 3 TDs; defensively I had 65 tackles and 5 sacks as well as 5 batted
balls.” Don’t look for Fragel to move to the defensive side of the ball in
college and he has been recruited as a tight end and all signs are he will play
the position for the Buckeyes.
Fragel will get a chance to see
Ohio State’s campus once again when he comes to Columbus for the senior camps
in early June. “I plan on attending OSU's camp on June 8th.” He
reported to us.
