Seantrel Henderson, Rivals Early #1 2010 Recruit

Seantrel Henderson is the number one recruit in the nation for the 2010 class. Teams such as Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Michigan State, Oregon, USC, UCLA and Wisconsin have already offered him a scholarship. A visit to Michigan in March left Henderson impressed with the Wolverines but there is still plenty of time for schools to catch the 6'8" 300 lbs tackle from Saint Paul Minnesota.

Michigan Visit Impresses

Henderson might want to stay in the mid-west to be close to his home in Saint Paul and the closeness of Ann Arbor was attractive when he visited recently. He also liked the facilities, the coaching staff, and the campus at Michigan. On his visit he got to the Big House along with academic facilities which he found impressive and liked the staff on hand that day. One of his teammates has families in the area and a cousin on the team which all added to his comfort level with the program.

The Spartans Present Their Case

The same weekend Henderson was visiting Michigan he also stopped by to see Coach Dantonio at Michigan State in East Lansing. His enthusiasm wasn't as strong for the Spartan visit as it was for the Michigan visit but he did seem to like what he saw there. The one thing Michigan State holds over Michigan is their style of offense. At MSU, Henderson could start early and play in a pro-style running offense that features big offensive lineman. At Michigan he would be a little out of place in a spread offensive that needs smaller and quicker tackles. Henderson also plans to visit Notre Dame in the near future.

USC Makes Good On Patients

One recent offer for Henderson came from the Trojans of Southern California. He seems quite interested in the program as he has seen their winning tradition over the past few years and the number of players that have entered the NFL after attending USC. Some of the details about the school were new for Henderson but his interest level is high and he will continue to evaluate Pete Carroll's program along with a number of other schools that he has interest in.
