Terrelle Pryor Apologizes in Afternoon Press Conference

Appearing with his new NFL agent, Drew Rosenhaus, former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor said that he regretted the actions he took that led to him leaving Ohio State before the start of his senior season. Ready to serve a five game suspension for selling memorabilia to a local tattoo parlor owner and drug dealer, Pryor promised to return before playing in the post season bowl against Arkansas. But with additional allegations of selling autographs and getting free use of automobiles, he altered his plans and will now attempt to enter the NFL supplemental draft. Adding to the situation was the resignation of head Coach Jim Tressel under pressure from the national media for his lack of control over the players on his team.

Pryor spoke directly to Coach Tressel during the press conference saying that he regretted the coach not being with the program after covering up for his NCAA violations. He also stated that he regretted not being their with the team. When questions began he confirmed that he is targeting the NFL supplemental draft. He also reported that with 9 additional credits he will have a degree from the Ohio State University.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus spoke with Jim Tressel about Pryor and Coach Tress only had good things to say. Rosenhaus feels that Pryor can be a first round draft selection in the NFL although many feel he will fall into the later rounds and be a project at the next level. Any team that picks up Pryor in the supplemental draft will need to sacrifice next years draft selection in that same round. Reports from Miami also have Pryor working out with other Rosenhaus clients including Chad (Johnson) Ocho-cinco.
