Buckeye Safety Orhian Johnson Picked for the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

Ohio State graduating senior Orhian Johnson has the opportunity to play in the upcoming NFLPA Collegiate Bowl as announced by OSU this week. Often a starter at the Safety position over the past two seasons, Johnson hopes his play on the field and this opportunity to play in front of NFL scouts leads to a spot with an NFL team.

As a senior, Johnson had seven pass breakups, two interceptions, and 39 tackles during the twelve games of the season. Coming out of high school he had to switch positions from quarterback to safety but had great size at 6’2” and 4.5 speed that he could use on the defensive side of the ball.

Other Buckeye seniors who will be playing in senior bowl games include Travis Howard, Nathan Williams, Reid Fragel, and John Simon.
