Best Quotes And Key Takeaways - Big Ten Media Days

UrbanMeyer2014BigTen

Once more the Buckeyes are getting ready to go for the national title run after they fell a bit short last year. Meyer has to deal with the pieces of what happened, the camp is going to be a time where pivotal changes must take place. Holes and problems must be fixed and the vision of the coaching staff has to be seen clearly.

The following are the biggest takeaways from the Big Ten media days regarding the Buckeyes.

When Jeff Heuerman was asked how important it was to keep Braxton Miller healthy this year, he in return asked how important it would be for Lebron to stay healthy in his game.

In order for a person to stay healthy, they have to get healthy in the first places. Miller underwent surgery to his shoulder, only a minor surgery, last February. This sadly forced him to sideline during the Ohio State practice in the springtime. He was able to breeze through rehab though, and has a renewed strength that is proving him to be able to play once more very soon.

On top of this, Miller changed his entire routine in order to fix his life up, which is great since he needs to be in top shape to make the best run of the college football playoffs. So, the next step in keeping him safe and healthy is to change and retool the offensive line.

Meyer has been heard saying that protecting the quarterback of the team is the most important thing that can happen. This is absolutely true, which means that Ohio State may manage to have a great season if they hold true to keeping the quarterback as safe as possible.

Meyer was also the linebacker in his unit who was the most worried about, but after his recovery and subsequent healing, things are starting to look up not only for him, but the entire team. This is why staying healthy and in shape is the best thing that can be done in and out of the sports field, and why protecting yourself in sports is so vital.
