Three More Commit for
2009
Over the weekend Ohio State added three more recruits to its
2009 recruiting class; wide receiver Duron Carter or Ft. Lauderdale, FL, wide
receiver/defensive back Justin Green of Louisville ,KY and running back Carlos
Hyde of Naples, FL.
By Pete Quint
FL WR Duron Carter
Carter, the son of former Buckeye
and NFL great Chris Carter, has the size (6-3, 185) and speed to be the next
great Buckeye receiver. Reports say that
Carter runs crisp routes and an incredible vertical.
KY CB Justin Green
Green brings an entirely different
game to the team than his brother Marcus, a 6-3 235 defensive end, brought to Columbus as a part of Jim
Tressel’s first recruiting class in 2001. At 5-11, 178, Justin has the speed
and quickness to play on either side of the ball.
FL RB Carlos Hyde
Carlos Hyde’s running style and
body size has been compared to current Buckeye Beanie Wells. At 6-1, 235, Hyde is the kind power runner
that Tressel and Buckeye drool over. Carlos
will fit nicely into the current scheme if Wells decides to opt for the NFL
following the 2008 season.
With these three additions the 2009
recruiting class totals 19 and will undoubtedly be one of the best in the
country.
