The team has also made it to the Final Four twice, Sweet Sixteen four times and received a berth at the NCAA tournaments a total of 6 times all thanks to Matta.

What’s there to complain about?

After the current seasons’ schedule was announced, some fans complained about the schedule strength because of 3 new additions to the states’ non-conference basketball schedule.

The Women’s’ team holds ground too

The Ohio State University’s women’s basketball team also has a notable presence in the Athletics department. With 20 NCAA appearances & 12 (mostly conference) Big Ten titles under their belt, they represented Ohio State in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I women's basketball season.

The team however, did not make it past the semi-finals & lost to Iowa.
