James Jackson
visiting for Penn
State
Grand Ledge wide receiver stand-out and Ohio State
recruit James Jackson is having a great senior season with his team now 5-0.
The team will face a tough East
Lansing team this Friday which features one of the
biggest offensive lines in the league. Jackson
has been busy with football and school but will make a trip to Columbus
for the Penn State game and is very much looking
forward to the visit.

Great Receiving
Prospect
Rated the 29th best
receiver in the country by Rivals.com, James Jackson will arrive in Columbus in 2009 as part of a three member receiving class
including Chris Fields from Painesville
Ohio and Duron Carter, Chris
Carter’s son. Jackson
has good size at 6’0” 175lbs and blazing speed with 4.31 seconds in the 40
recorded. Jackson accepted an offer from Ohio State
over offers from Purdue, Wisconsin,
Alabama, Florida,
Michigan and Michigan State.
Grand Ledge
High School
Grand Ledge High School is off to a great start this year with Jackson running and
receiving. He feels the current season may be the best since he’s started. “5-0
is a great accomplishment so. For us to bounce back from 2 seasons of 3-6
records I just can't say enough about this team.” He told us recently about
Grand Ledge’s season. “I believe that we are playing well as a team but look to
improve every week.”
This Friday
they will face East Lancing which could be the toughest game so far. “I also
believe that we do face a difficult team Friday. They have a big offensive line
the biggest we are going to face so far this season.” He said. The key will be
stopping their running attack. “As long as we stop the run we should be in good
shape.”
Penn State Visit
Jackson
was in town for the Spring Game and got a feel for the atmosphere in Ohio
Stadium but is looking forward to a visit for Penn State
when the crowd should be in a frenzy. “I have not yet been to an Ohio state game this
season but I plan to attend the Penn state game. I went to the spring game and
I love the game atmosphere.”
