One and Done Duo, BJ Mullens and William Buford, Shine against NC Asheville
BJ Mullens and William Buford showed why they were top
recruits coming out of high school and how they can dominate lesser opponents
tonight when Ohio State played NC Asheville in Value City Arena. They only
worry for Ohio State fans is the length of time these
two dynamic players will stay in college.

Not a Close Game
NC Asheville made a run late in the first half but where not
able to get any closer than 5 points. An as has been the pattern with the
Buckeyes this season, half time led to a big run after the team came out of the
locker-room. When the second half began Ohio State
took over the game and went on a run that would but them up by 26 points.
Freshmen Shine
Freshmen Williams Buford and BJ Mullens had the best games
of their young college careers. Mullens finished with 19 points, 8 rebounds,
and 3 blocks. There were so many open dunks by Mullens that anyone viewing at
home thought maybe they were seeing a replay when Mullens slammed down another
two. Buford was able to score 16 points with 7 rebounds looking very smooth
with his midrange jumper and floater near the rim.
Other Young Players
Other players got a good amount of playing time with the
lead so healthy in the second half. Walter Offutt played 10 minutes scoring
three points. Anthony Crater was the biggest recipient of playing time with 21
minutes on the night. He finished with 4 points and 5 assists showing great
quickness on the court but needing some additional control at times.
