Ohio State Loses to Wisconsin 55-50 in Madison
Another road game and another good game for Evan Turner but he was unable to get the help he needed from his Ohio State teammates to beat Wisconsin Saturday night in Madison. Turner had 23 points on the night and played the entire game but 15 offensive rebounds by the Badgers and 19 turnovers by the Buckeyes allowed Wisconsin to finish in the win column.
Short Stop in the Top 25
Ohio State had climbed back into the Top 25 at the 24th spot and had claimed the 3rd spot in the Big Ten with a 17-5 record before the loss Saturday night on ESPN. The team has 6 games left in league play with 2 games against Northwestern, 2 home games against tough opponents in Illinois and Penn State, and 2 road games against Iowa and Purdue. The team is hoping for a NCAA tournament spot and needs some more solid wins and possibly a good run in the Big Ten tournament to secure their spot.
Buford and Mullens Help
Williams Buford played well early in the game against Wisconsin scoring 11 points on 5-11 shooting. The team as a whole shot very well at 55% from the field but shot 17 times less the Badgers due to the turnovers by the team and the offensive rebounds by the Badgers. BJ Mullens had a good stretch in the first half and finished the game with 7 points to be the third highest scorer for the Buckeyes in the game.
