Ohio State Quarterback Todd Boeckman Signs with Jacksonville

Getting a shot in NFL might have always been Todd Boeckman’s goal but being a good teammate became more important when he lost his starting position to Terrelle Pryor as a senior last season. Now Boeckman is getting a shot at the next level with the Jacksonville Jaguars as he signs a free agent contract.

By Steve Patterson

Neil Cornrich, Boeckman’s agent has told reporters that his client signed a free agent contract with the Jacksonville NFL team. This is very good news for the Ohio St. Henry product who tried out with the Bengals but did not sign. Jacksonville is in search of a third string quarterback for their squad behind David Garrard and Todd Bouman. The move follows the team dropping previous 2nd string passer Cleo Lemon.

Boeckman’s accomplishments at Ohio State include being named All-Big Ten in 2007 and being selected as a captain in 2008.
