Kurt Coleman is the defensive player of the week. This is not a surprise as he created the two turnovers late in the game that put Ohio State well in hand of a victory mid way through the fourth quarter. Nine tackles, one interception and a forced fumble were his statistics for the game.
Boom Herron had a good outing for his first time starting in the tailback position and he was awarded the offensive player of the week for his work. He had a total of 72 yards rushing with one touchdown. Nate Oliver shined on special teams and was given the Player of the Week award for special teams along with the Jack Tatum Big Hit of the Week.
Justin Boren gets his first award starting with the offensive line this past Saturday. He is the Jim Parker offensive lineman of the week. Scout team offensive winners were Zach Boren, KC Christian, Joe Gantz, Bo DeLande, Chris Malone, James Georgiades, Rocco Pentello, Scott Sika, Ryan Schuck, and Spencer Smith. The defensive Scout team award winner was Tony Jackson while Joe Gantz won the special teams award.
