Billy Price Is The New Ohio State Center

Billy Price is now the Ohio State's Center and is one of the four returning starters for the team. Clemson beat Ohio State 31-0 at the Fiesta Bowl during the College Football Playoff. Quarterback J.T. Barrett was helpless with Clelin Ferrell, Carlos Watkins and Christian Wilkins on the field for the other team.

Barrett had two interceptions but was sacked three times by the Tigers. Michael Jordan, the left guard injured his ankle in the first quarter, and was replaced by Demetrius Knox. Jordan is returning in 2017 along with Jamarco Jones, left tackle and Isaiah Prince, right tackle. Billy Price, the four-year starter, is also to return as team captain replacing Pat Elflein who is going to the NFL. Although the Buckeyes have four returning starters from the previous season, Price's move to center leaves a void. However, Greg Studrawa does have some options to fill Price's old spot on the offensive line.

Price is the team's leader and will be playing the role that Elflein played just last year. Jordan is a tough player with an amazing stature, as well as Prince. What the critics are asking is if this team can work together this second year under Studrawa. Studrawa has been quiet about who he deems to replace Price as right guard. The four names being tossed around are Josh Myers, Matthew Burrell, Demetrius Knox and Malcolm Pridgeon. Wyatt Davis is another hopeful but he will not be joining until June. Based on the situation, the Buckeyes may not make the decision on the right guard position until the fall camp.
