Nebraska And Wisconsin Football Vs. Ohio State: Evening Games Are Set

Just released by the Big Ten, on October 8th, Ohio State University will visit Nebraska for an evening game to be aired during prime time.  OSU Coach Jim Tressel, quarterback Terrelle Pryor and four other players will not participate in the game after being suspended for five games for NCAA rules violations.

Nebraska and OSU have only played twice before.  This will be their first meeting in the Big Ten.  Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m., and will be shown by either ESPN, ABC or ESPN2.

Ohio State University’s homecoming game will be played against Wisconsin on October 29th at 8:00 p.m. and will also be aired by either ESPN, ABC or ESPN2.

Ohio State’s only loss in 2010 was to Wisconsin.  The Big Ten will hold its first championship league game this season, and the Wisconsin vs. OSU game guarantees to be a significant match for the six-team Leaders Division.  Nebraska is in the Legends Division and left the Big 12 at the end of last season to play in the Big Ten.

Sports analysts anticipated the game between the Cornhuskers and the Buckeyes to be a sampling of what the championship game might look like.  However, with the inquiry of Tressel’s actions and the OSU players’ suspensions, the game will seem more like a test as to whether or not the Buckeyes will be in the running for the Big Ten Championship title.

The Buckeyes will meet the Hurricanes at the University of Miami for a September 17th evening game, in another game that is a must see for all fans.  The Big Ten Network will announce the rest of its schedule sometime next week.
