A red-shirt sophomore out of Hilliard Davidson Ohio, Bo Delande, had a good Spring camp along with a number of other running backs that showcased their skills this past month in the Gray vs. Scarlet game. At 6’1” 185lbs, Delande has good size and speed for a running back in the Big Ten. During his high school career he helped lead the Wildcats to a Division I state title and walked on at Ohio State the following summer.

Delande liked the format of spring drills this year as there was more scrimmaging then past years.  "The team looked great all during spring, a lot of live scrimmaging during practice which is always fun to go live." Delande played for the Scarlet and was outshined slightly by a resurgent Brandon Saine at the annual Scarlet vs. Gray game.

"Boom Herron and Brandon Saine are battling it out and Marcus Williams had a good spring also." Delande told us about the other running backs looking to get playing time in the fall. All three had good totals in the spring game with Marcus Williams having the longest run from scrimmage.

A record 95,722 fans showed up on a beautiful spring Saturday in Columbus and the players seemed to appreciate the support. "The spring game atmosphere was great. It seemed like a season game. It shows how much support we have from our fans." Delande explained about playing in the Shoe in front of a near sold out crowd. The number was a national record for a Spring Game in which students were allowed to enter for free.

Delande was stopped for DUI on April 29th near campus on High Street in Columbus. He is currently underage at 20 years old.
