Scott McVey Selects Ohio State for 2010
Scott McVey visited the Ohio State Buckeyes this past weekend for their Spring Game and walked away a member of the 2010 recruiting class. McVey become a high caliber recruit during St. Ignatius' run to the state title this past winter and is now ranked as the 4th best recruit in Ohio for the class according to Rivals.com.

McVey grew up a fan of Ohio State and is considered a little small to play the linebacker position, but his aggressiveness and ability to make plays on the field drew offers from many of the larger college programs in the area. Stanford, West Virginia, Boston College, Iowa, Michigan, and Michigan State all offered during the early recruiting period for 2010.
Safety or Linebacker
After visits to Notre Dame, Boston College and Michigan, McVey made the decision that Ohio State was the place for him. McVey is open to playing either Safety or Linebacker when he enters college next year. With the versatility needed by the Buckeyes to play the many spread offenses in the league, McVey will fit in nicely similar to Tyler Moeller has done over the last couple of years.
