Fall Camp Brings Small Injures and Rehabilitation

Jim Tressel updated the media before the open practice at Ohio Stadium tonight and mentioned many of the known injures on the Buckeye team this fall but provided some additional names that have been banded up.

Cameron Heyward was in a boot at practice and did not participate although he is expected to be ready when the Navy game arrives in a couple of weeks. Another Buckeye with a slight injury to the ankle is Travis Howard who has been competing well for the open cornerback position for the coming season.

Tyler Moeller is out for the season as expected after his recent head injury and subsequent operation. The family is still optimistic that Moeller can return next season. Head injures are taken serious when considering a player ready for football action as you can imagine.

Melvin Fellows, a great defensive end and one of the top prospects in 2009, is coming off surgery over the off season and isn’t back 100% yet. The staff is taking their time with those that had more recent surgeries prior to camp starting. Include Lawrence Wilson into the group that are being brought back slowly.

Jamaal Berry has been participating at about 50% over the last two weeks because of an off season procedure that he is still recuperating from. While Jake Stoneburner isn’t a 100% yet either.
